Ngā Kaupapa Tuku ihō mō INA
INA's framework is based on seven kaupapa tukū ihō from which are derived the tikanga or operational values and policies within the organisation. They are:
Give prestige to or elevate the prestige of individuals or organisations through the expression of affection, hospitality, generosity and mutual respect.
Tikanga of INA HIV/AIDS Foundation derived from Manaakitanga:
To maintain the capacity to care for all those infected and/or affected with HIV/AIDS
It is recognized as an organisation that does manaaki those infected and/or affected with HIV/AIDS
To ensure that relationships with PLWHA, whānau, hapū and Iwi, and other organisations, are elevating and enhancing
To reduce stigma and discrimination for PLWHA
To work for the elimination of HIV infection in Māori, Indigenous and South Pacific communities and to create an environment where the care and welfare of both communities are still important
To work collaboratively, to treat each other respectfully and to act with integrity
To be inclusive in the process of addressing the response to HIV/AIDS based on mutual respect and harmonious relationships
To be a collective public voice to speak for those Māori, Indigenous and South Pacific descent affected/infected by HIV/AIDS
